Le mouvement Ni Una Menos ( Pas une de moins ) s'est étendu à d'autres pays d'Amerique Latine.
Ni Una Menos is after a poetry of the mexican poet Susana Chavez about violence against women and feminicides in Ciudad Juarez. Herself was killed for her fight for women rights. There are 90/95% of violence against women which never find a justice end. Ciudad Juarez is the most known city when we talk about women mass murders but this violence is present in all the country.
The movement Ni Una Menos ( not on less) has expanded in several other south America countries.
NI UNA MENOS
tempera à l'oeuf, feuille d'or sur toile / Egg tempera and gold leaf on canvas
The first character is the Virgen Guadalupe, the St of Mexico who is weeping after those who were gone in violence and forgetfullness. Behind her a devil weighs lost souls.
The middle character is Santa Muerte, mix between christians beliefs and pagan ones. She is partly worshiped by gangs and cartels but also by many people. She's spitting violence through her belly while she also protects.
The last character is the gagged woman in folk costume. Behind her a woman warrior on Quetzacoatl. Crosses on the ground symbolize dead women. They are used during manifestations against violences and painted in pink.
Comme la plupart des peintures présentée lors de mon expo solo à Evreux elle est mise ne relation avec une chanson
Like most of my paintings for my solo show in summer in Evreux, the song is related to a song
